RidgeLogic Launches SceneStudio™ Plug-and-Play Media Player Packages
Media players provide low cost digital signage solution comprised of media player, player software and content development application
Buffalo, NY (September 22, 2010) RidgeLogic Development, the creator of the SceneStudio suite of multimedia presentation solutions, announces the launch of three plug-n-play media player packages offering a low cost, simple to deploy solution.
The SceneStudio media player packages contain a SceneStudio Pro software license for the development of multimedia messages and 15-months of software maintenance providing minor and major application updates. The form factors available are a small desktop, a mini version that fits behind a display, which is powered by AOpen, and a 2U rack mount with mounting rails.
"The new media players provide an easy to understand platform because everything required is contained in a single product, " says Jack Boyczuk, president of RidgeLogic. "They are also simple to deploy, which improves the customers out-of-box experience. "
The media players are dual purpose devices acting as both a server and media player all-in-one. This serves to reduce the total solution cost of a digital signage deployment and provides the ability to initiate real-time updates to the display without separate publishing steps.
All media player packages ship with the following minimum specifications: Intel Dual Core processor, 2GB memory and 160GB hard drive. The desktop and 2U media player packages provide a half height PCI Express x16 slot for the addition of a video card to support various display configurations.
The SceneStudio media players are aggressively priced and the suggested retail prices are: $2975 for the desktop version, $2895 for the mini version and $3295 for the 2U rack mount. Products are available direct, and through resellers and authorized distributors in North America.
